In early 2016, Ashley Brooks from Brooks Editorial and I launched the Chasing Creative Podcast.
About The Chasing Creative Podcast
It’s about chasing what makes you feel alive. It’s about everyday people and how they can make creativity a priority in their everyday lives. We know it’s hard. We know that creative work only gets done in the leftover moments of life.
When we started the podcast, Ashley had one toddler and worked from home. I was working a full-time job in advertising, finding myself 100% drained after being gone for 10 hours of the day – or more.
Back then, I wrote in the early morning hours and photographed things on Saturday mornings when the light was perfect. Ashley fit in creative writing in the corners of nap times before her daughter woke up.
Now? I have a toddler and run my own freelance business. Ashley has three kids and does the same. And we’re still trying to chase those creative passions whenever we can.
The podcast has become more important than ever to making that happen.
We’ve already interviewed a stellar lineup of guests in our first five seasons. We currently release an episode on the first Monday of every month. All of the episodes can be found on our website, www.ChasingCreative.com.
Join in the Chasing Creative conversation!
If you are a maker of any sort, we know you are probably struggling to find time to do your art. We encourage you to listen to the interviews with people who are in the exact same situation. And we’d love to have you share your thoughts on creativity, too. You can join in the conversation on social media using the hashtag #ChasingCreative.
We’d love if you’d come along for the ride and chase your creative along with us.
